The Story of Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson was born on June 30th 1966 in New York. Growing up, he lived around a lot of crime, and got in a lot of fights. Mike Tyson had gotten into his first fight when someone ripped the head off one of his pigeons. He commited a lot of petty crimes, like stealing or vandalism, and he got into a lot of street fights. In his young age, he had been arrested many times. Mike Tysons fighting ability was discovered by his schools juvenile detention center counsler, Bobby Stewart. Bobby Stewart trained Mike, and introduced him to the world of boxing.

Mike Dropped out of school, his junior year of high-school to commit fully to training. By now, he had had many different trainers. His mother died when Mike was 16, leaving him in the care of his most recent trainer D'Amato. In his ameture career, he won gold metals, and the junior olimpic games. He started professional fighting when he was 18. Mike was fighting very frequently, in his first year he had 15 fights. In his first 28 profecional fights, he had won 26 of them by knockout. With his win streak into profesional fighting, everyone though that he was going to be the next big heavyweight champion.

After more record-breaking knockouts, Mike Tyson eventually acheived that goal, and become the youngest heavyweight champion of his time, at 20. After some wins, losses, and eventual jail time, Mike Tyson retired. Marking a 20 year boxing career making a total amount of at least 430 million dollars, wich today would be more like around 700 million.
